🔬 How It Works

​

When crawling pests cross a surface treated with EMIT ChuteDefend, they absorb the active ingredients through their feet (tarsi). This triggers rapid nervous system overstimulation, leading to tremors, paralysis, and elimination – all without direct contact with wet spray.

Unlike ordinary sprays that stop working once dry, ChuteDefend leaves an invisible, long-lasting barrier that continues killing for up to 30 days.

Residual Efficacy Chain:
Surface contact → absorption through tarsi → nervous system overstimulation → tremors → paralysis → elimination within hours.

 

🧪 Active Ingredients

Bifenthrin (0.1%) – Long-lasting residual control. UV and humidity resistant.
Benzalkonium Chloride (0.2%) – Sanitiser. Kills odour-causing bacteria.

Other Ingredients: Lavender Essential Oil, Corrosion Inhibitors, Solvents, Film Formers.

🧴 Directions for Use

Shake Well Before Use.

Broad Spray (Surface Coverage):
Attach the wide-angle nozzle. Hold can 20–30 cm from surface. Spray evenly across chute walls, bin interiors, and flat surfaces until lightly moist. Allow 15 minutes to dry.

Point Spray (Targeted Treatment):
Switch to the precision nozzle. Hold can 10–15 cm from target area. Directly treat hinges, door seals, cracks, crevices, and gaps with 1–2 second bursts.

Reapplication:
For continuous protection, reapply weekly or as needed. For heavy infestations, clean surfaces before first application.

✓ Use in well-ventilated areas.
✓ Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear gloves if you have sensitive skin.
✓ Do not puncture or incinerate the can, even when empty.
✓ Store below 50°C, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
✓ If accidental contact occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
✓ Toxic to aquatic life. Do not contaminate ponds, waterways, or drains.

For commercial food establishments: Application should be carried out by NEA-licensed pest control operators as a targeted crack-and-crevice treatment.

 

🐾 Pet Safety

When used as directed, EMIT ChuteDefend is safe for use in homes with pets. Once the spray has dried completely, the active ingredients are safe for your pets. Only wet surfaces may cause irritation.

To keep your furry friends safe:

1. Keep pets out of the area during application.

2. Allow the spray to dry completely before letting them back in.

3. Store the can out of reach.

If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with water and consult your veterinarian.
